Re: Is This REALLY OUR Training Ground...
Footballers like golf as well so the club should buy Crowlands and they can have their own private 9 hole next door.
Would that make up for the lack of a swimming pool?

I'm sure that they could chip in for a pool table between them if they are that bothered.

Payet left because there was no La Piscine pool table.

Re: Is This REALLY OUR Training Ground...
Did the practice facilities last year stop us from performing well? No.

Not sure why it's an issue this year, apart from the fact professional sportsmen like blaming anyone but themselves when things are going wrong.

Time to knuckle down and get the job done; then, start asking for something better.

Is it ok if I file 'training ground' alongside 'The Olympic Stadium' and 'Gianfranco Zola' as reasons we will sign the world's best players?

Re: Is This REALLY OUR Training Ground...
Decent traing facilities would be s sign to a potential signing that things are done properly.
Any potential signing looking around Rush Green must be wondering what the fuck is going on here
It really doesn't show us in any sort of professional light..
Its piss fucking poor and there is no excuse for it. .

Basically modern footballers don't want reminding of the shitholes they've got themselves out of each day.

Playing in a football stadium is probably a bigger selling point, I'd imagine

why not employ some brasses full time? players tend to like them as well.

Re: Is This REALLY OUR Training Ground...
Better facilities are always a plus point to a player, it's never going to sell a poor club to a good player but every little helps when you are in competition with clubs of a similar level.

I'm sure they don't want to hang around after training playing pool and wiff-waff though, they'll want to get home to their wives and kids and put their feet up after a training session.

Chelsea also have one of those games where you can dance battle...crucial to player retention.

Re: Is This REALLY OUR Training Ground...
I'm not sure using Chelsea as an example of players spending time together is a pointer to anything.

It's been the mist poisonous and toxic dressing room in football for more than a decade. Anyone that selection of cunts have decided while they're fingering each others arseholes in the swimming pool has been forced out.

They stopped playing for 6 months last year to get rid of the most successful manager in the clubs history. Any fanbase with a soul would have outed them cunts instead

And no, I don't give a fuck what they've won, that's down to money and fuck all else.

Re: Is This REALLY OUR Training Ground...
This is before Chelsea finished developing their training ground. There are more pitches now:

Re: Is This REALLY OUR Training Ground...
Again, I can't see it being massively important but other clubs have pitches with different grass, cut at different lengths etc to match their upcoming games. We are miles off.

Huffers 5:23 Tue Apr 18
Re: Is This REALLY OUR Training Ground...
As I said, you might think it isn't important but it is what other clubs in our area have. Good facilities. A swimming pool is important anyway, for sure.

I completely understand that we all think that football is football, they are paid a lot of money, they should bare the brunt but its not how it is anymore, is it?
